🚀 Product Launch Alert – NavIC GPS Tracker Module! 🚀
Excited to announce the launch of Bharat Pi NavIC GPS Tracker Module. A new product that makes it easy for location tracking using Indian NavIC satellites.
The module supports USB serial communication over a COM port. This makes it super easy to plug into laptop, desktop or even IoT devices. With latch times less than 60 seconds and an accurancy of within a meter make is ideal for drone, automotive and asset tracking applications.
GPS tracking is a critical function for most of businesses across automotive, mobile phones, logistics, asset tracking, drones and robotics. Few years back Indian military and other government services were dependent on foreign GPS satellites to get the location coordinates. But post Kargil war this changed the scenario as Indian military was denied of GPS locations from foreign satellites.
This triggered the Govt to take an initiative and quickly build its own navigation system. Hence IRNSS (Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System) was born with 7 satellites. IRNSS is also known as NavIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation). It is designed to give precise position service to users located in India and also to users in the area out-spreading up to 1500 Km from India’s boundary.
Bharat Pi NavIC Module provides NMEA strings as serial data when plugged-in to a USB port. Below is an image of NMEA messages appearing upon connecting the module to USB and selecting the corresponding COM port.

The onboard TTL convertor makes it plug-and-play for drones and unmanned arial vehicle (UAV). Govt of India has taken measures to ensure all defense, automotive and GeM portal suppliers are using NavIC based GPS trackers. Bharat Pi NavIC module aligns with this vision of Govt of India to provide the easy to plug-in NavIC GPS module.
